Name of your story: Aigoro's Childhood

Is it very short or epic size or in the Middle?: Not sure myself, maybe epic

Does it have Anti in it?: Not yet... not sure if he will come...

A boy not older than ten had just finished his chores and decided to go read a book, finding himself a comfortable spot behind their house where a giant tree provided shade for most of the back yard area.

Half of the yard was a drying area for scrolls since before he was born... the air was heavy with the sent of water vapor as the long, thin sheets where robbed of their moisture from the heavy beating sun. Their family prided themselves of the foremost leading paper millers, providing everyone with all kinds of products made of paper.

Just as the boy was about to open his book to read, he heard his father call out to him, “Aigoro, come here!”

Aigoro quickly rushed to his fathers call. It wasn’t like his father to call on him and need something from him at this time of the day, he thought. There must be something wrong. “What is it Father?” Aigoro caught his breath as he inquired the urgency.

His father shook his head, “You have grown so quickly, Aigoro, and soon you will be going back to the academy to train as a Genin!” His father smiled. “Now, I would like to show your our family’s bloodline ability. As you well know, our family has been making paper for generations, but now I will show you why.”

Aigoro has learned about bloodline abilities in class, about Byakugan and Sharingan that only people that were born from a certain bloodline where able to use. “We have a bloodline ability?” This was the first time Aigoro heard about this.

His father nodded, “From our great, great, great ancestors, we have the ability to make objects that are ordinarily soft to become as hard as metal.” His father then pulled a strand of hair from his head, “Watch this.” His father then flung the strand into the tree.

In Aigoro’s surprise, the strand cut through the air like a dart and stuck to the tree. “Amazing!” Aigoro’s eyes widened in wonderment. “I can do that too?”

“Yes, only our family and some others that have trained all their lives to replicate our technique. What comes naturally for us, some find a way to mimic but never completely master. Your Grandaunt on my fathers side, was known to be able to turn her hair into a ball of poisonous quills, earning her the nickname the Hag of Needle Hair.” Aigoro’s father retold the story with great delight. “Anyway, you might probably start with paper and work your way up to hair. And its not really practical to pull out your hair for weapons... especially with our family’s male pattern baldness.” He smiled and showed his bald spot under his hat.

Aigoro’s father then handed him a piece of paper folded up like a Shuriken. “Here, try to reverse engineer how that his folded and try to replicate it. And when you’ve practiced enough, you can send your Chakra threw it and make it as strong as steel. It may give you a very good advantage when you learn how to use your powers fully.” Then his father took a piece of paper himself, “In my Chunin days, my Sensei showed me how to use Chakra strings to make my paper folding all the more quicker. I also found out that by using Chakra strings, I could make Origami puppets that I could manipulate to move and attack with.” The piece of paper he held folded itself into a paper swan in his hands.

Then Aigoro’s father saw his sons expression. “I know this is too much information for you for just one day. Ill leave you with this new idea in your head to percolate. I hope you don’t drown yourself in this new aspect of your life. Do good at school, Son!” His fathers parting words.

Aigoro’s heart beat like a humming bird in flight, playing with the paper shuriken his father gave him. “I wonder...” Aigoro said to himself. He coursed as much Chakra from his hands into the paper shuriken. “Here goes nothing!” Aigoro winded up his pitching arm for a throw. He released the paper shuriken, aiming at same part of the tree his father struck with his hair dart. Unfortunately, the paper shuriken, while did hit its mark, was not hard enough to penetrate the tree’s bark and it bounced back to the ground.

Both of his team mates have lost their individual matches and now it is his time to battle. Aigoro wasn’t much surprised of the outcome of his team members matches... it was a bigger surprise for him that they have lasted this far into the exams.

Rain Village has gone all out on this years chunin exams and the stadium was jammed packed with spectators and ninja alike. The next battle was announced and it was himself against another Shinobi from Konoha named Shiara.

Aigoro knew her from the Academy but never formally met her. She has been very impressive against her previous match up and Aigoro knew he must be quick on his toes and serious about this match.

After acknowledgements, the acting referee sounded out to begin the match. Aigoro was aware that his opponent had the Sharingan eye, which could read and copy every move he would make. He should be careful about how much of his jutsus would he use as to take the advantage off his opponent.

Finally, after, each tried to stare down the other as they tried to anticipate each others first move,. Aigoro's anxiousness got the better of him and went ahead to give the first attack and jumped forward, using Shunshin no Jutsu to reappear just about out of his opponents line of sight to deliver a round house kick, aiming for his opponents lower spine.

Aigoro connected with his target, sending his opponent spinning down into the floor with great force.

Not even waiting for his opponent to get up, Aigoro quickly followed up the attack with consecutive Kunai and Shuriken throws made with folded Explosive Tags that will in effect, ignite on impact.

The dust settled and Aigoro found his opponent staggering back to her feet. Aigoro leaped forward and without mercy, he delivered a combination on two kicks as he flipped back, sending his opponent flying with the last kick that landed on her jaw. The momentum of the blow sent his opponents body straight up.

Aigoro then quickly caught himself with his left hand in a one hand stand while he spun his body with his legs and his own momentum. His right hand drew three more exploding tags that he instantly folded into kunais that he threw at the continually ascending body of his opponent.

Each kunai hit its mark successively as each blast kept his opponents body moving even higher. By the last kunai explosion, Aigoro then used another Shanshin no Jutsu and appeared on top of his free-falling opponent.

In mid air, Aigoro then wrapped his legs around his opponents into a submission like hold that looked like his version of a front lotus and awaited for the earths gravity to once again pull them back to earth. Aigoro loved this feeling, the fight between the momentum that was sending them upward, and the gravity that was pulling them back down... between the forces was where Aigoro found serenity and for a few seconds which felt like that time stopped, he felt weightless.

As time re-started, both bodies crashed down back to earth with the force of both their bodies weight as Aigoro pile driven his opponent back down. The dust formed a cloud around them. And as the dust settled, the victor was found standing over the defeated challenger.

A flawless victory. Aigoro wiped off a drip of sweat from his brow and walked away.

Go Aigoro! Your character is pretty kick-ass, except his taijutsu would never compare to Maria's. Not to brag or anything. Razz

Aigoro and the other students finally arrive back at Konoha, greeted by a spectacular celebration and parade from the gates to the Hokage’s mansion. Some of the students had bandages but could still walk, while others had to be carried or helped, as if they had just come back from a war.

It was unfortunate that both of his team members were unable to impress the judges and as the preconditions were before the examinations commenced, all that failed had to repeat one year academy training again.

Arriving in front of the Hokage’s mansion, the five Genin that have advanced to Chunin submit themselves and took a knee in front of the Hokage, Yume.

Aigoro was then met by his father inside the mansion’s banquet hall. There was a feast prepared in their honor. Yume himself then came and congratulated Aigoro personally, “We expect great things from you.” He warmly smiled.

Aigoro nodded back, “It is an honor to protect and serve in the name of Konoha.” Aigoro proudly replied.

Just then, a man in a hood came up to Yume and whispered something to him. Yume then turned back and said, “I apologies but I have duties to attend to. Please enjoy the feast.” He smiled and went with the man in the hood.

Aigoro couldn’t quite see the hooded man’s face, but he had a bad feeling about him. At the academy, Aigoro was taught to trust his instincts... and his instincts didn’t trust this man with the Hokage.

After the banquette, Aigoro’s father brought him a present wrapped in silky green shiny paper. “I have been waiting till you have passed to Chunin to give you this.” His father handed the package to him, “It was your mothers.”

Aigoro then opened the package and there was a cylindrical device that more or less resembled a telescope. “What is this?” Aigoro put the thing up to his eye and viewed through it.

Aigoro was surprised to learn that he could see through his fathers skin and chakra streams. With the device, he could see his fathers chakra surging through his body. “How?” All Aigoro could ask in astonishment. Aigoro then remembered a Kekkei Genkai that had this ability, but to witness it himself, “Byakugan!?” He then uttered.

Aigoro’s father could only nod, “It is time you learn about your Mother’s history.”
