Post-Final Fantasy VIII - Shinitenshin(Death Angel)

Balamb Garden. A place of prestige and pride; is known throughout the world.
From the outside, it seems like a futuristic fortress for an army. From the inside, it is nothing short of a palace. Tranquility, respect, pride; to name but a few of the feelings inside the walls of the Garden.
It's residents train relentlessley, waiting for that day they are needed for battle. Balamb Garden is dedicated to providing protection for the people who need them and it provides some of the best trained soldiers in the world. SeeD.
Balamb Garden, is home to many people. People have their own adventures to embark on and stories to tell; they never end.

On a cool breezy summer Sunday, the Garden remains still, without movement. The sun begins to rise as dawn breaks and the birds sing their glorious song. Inside the Garden rest it's residents: Instructors, SeeD's, Garden Masters, Candidates; all of them. The only noise to be heard within is the trickling of the brilliant fountain.
Soon enough, the time reached 7 a.m. as the cleaners began to sweep and the chefs began to cook. Another day at Balamb Garden had just begun...

kalos walks around balamb garden because of the good memories he had as a student

kalos:hmmm, it seems somthing is supossed to go horribly wrong and me and a bunch of other people having to kill monsters and stuff.....

Thump! Thump! The sound of people moving outside of his room rose Zariu. "Ah, it must be time." he sighed as he climbed out of bed and dressed himself for the day. When he was dressed he walked out and followed the crowed outside of the building. But, like all new students, Zariu got lost outside. "Where do we go now?" he asked himself as he stopped in front of the girls dorm, trying to remember where he was instructed to go.

kalos was walking by and he saw Zariu

''Hey, are you new to the balamb gardens? it looks like ur lost, you know you shouldnt be around the girls dorm.''

''im kalos, i used to be be a student here but now im graduated, im just back here to visit the people i knew here. and what is your name young cadet?''

"Zariu. And i didn't mean to stop here it just ended up here."

"So your a SeeD!?!?! Could you help me out?!?!?!?"

''umm srry Zariu, i always did try to forget being yelled at to do stuff so i already forgot what your suposed to do at this time, looks like your on your own.''

kalos walks away to greet his old friends

As people were just waking up and getting dressed for the day, the P.A. came on and the familiar voice of a middle aged Instructor Xu sounded through the speakers throughout the Garden:

"Attention all, it's a wonderful and sunny day today! We expect all SeeDs today to do their best with their duties. The cafeteria is expected to receive another shipment of hot dogs, slightly less than there was yesterday. All the more reasons for you all to make sure to get there early for your craving needs! Also and most importantly, all students that have passed all the written tests and completed the Fire Cavern field test know now that all that's left is the SeeD Field Exam set to finally begin tomorrow. Students who qualify are advised to get as much training in and to get a good night's rest. Students are to wake and report themselves prepared at the Garden's front gate at 6AM sharp. That's it for morning announces, thank you and have a good day!"

A man groaned and buried his head into his pillow as he heard the P.A. announcement.
"Damn Xu.......god, why couldn't they waited 'til 8AM instead?...."

A series of raps came to his door which made him groan even more.
"Um, sir?" came the voice of a male student. "Instructor Tryke?"

"Ugh....I'm up, I'm up....tell the others I'll be there as soon as I get dressed, okay?"

"Yes sir," said the boy as his footsteps started away from the door.

As the cafeteria was getting ready to serve breakfast, running could be heard. A cafeteria lady noticed and gave a descreet hand gesture to a co-worker beside. The latter stopped what she was doing and headed to the back as a woman with dark purple hair and a custom-made red SeeD suit came running in and screeched to a stop at the counter. The cafeteria lady smirked as the purple haired woman slouched forward and put her hands on her knees, obviously out of breath.

"Sooooooooo", started the cafeteria lady as she flashed a smile, "You have the money?"

"Of course I have it!" retorted the grape-haired woman as she dug in her side pocket to pull and slam a wad gil bills on the counter. "Come on, where is it?! Don't you dare try to screw me ov --"

"Calm down, calm down," replied the cafeteria lady as she sweatdropped. "We have it, all five barrels full of Balamb's finest sake."

Just then, the co-worker who went to the back returned with five others, each of whom were wobbling as they carried the barrel full of sake.

The cafeteria looked back at them and then back at the purple haired one and sighed. "You sure do ask alot Ukiyo, how can your liver withstand such abuse?"

Ukiyo only flashed a huge grin as she signaled for the carriers to follow her back to her dorm.

"Hey!"

A student who was in a hurry to go to the Training Center was yelling at another student who blocked the doorway. At first glance, it appeared to many that she was simply leaning against the door and snoozing. Get a closer look in, you'd see her eyes, though not completely open, simply gazing off in the distance, as if in a trance.

"Helloooo!!!"

The student was getting increasingly irritated as each second passed with the girl not moving an inch from the door.

"Hey b**ch! If you don't move in the next min --!"

He was cut off, literally, as the girl did what appeared to be an upward slash with her index fingernail along the student's SeeD Candidate uniform. The student was confused and it looked like he was going to continue launching another round of insults when he began to notice his uniform's buttons falling off one by one.

He was shocked and looked angrily back at the girl 'til he noticed his pant's zipper pieces falling off also. Before he could react, his pants fell down to his ankles, and girls passing by giggled and pointed at his dinosaur briefs. He turned red and hightailed it back to the dorm area, much to the laughter to the people he passed on the way.

"I won't forget this!!!"

The girl leaning against the Training Center's door finally decided to straighten herself up and walked away from the door.

"Well...........that was fun...." she said to herself uncaringly. "I guess I could use the time to brush up in library --"

"Saiya! What's your reason for not being in class waiting for my arrival?" yelled Ukiyo, or Instructor Rosuto to the students and other SeeDs.

Saiya turned to her voice and cocked an eyebrow as she saw the group of cafeteria hands holding one huge barrel each. "More sake, huh?"

"Yes, but that still doesn't answer my question young lady," replied Ukiyo sternly, though Saiya knew she was only playing.

"Even if I went to class straight away, it would be thirty minutes or so 'til you came anyway." Saiya looked down at her watch. "I was supposed to be in class twenty minutes ago and here I see you. Shouldn't I be the one questioni? --"

"Fifty gil if you shut your trap, kay?" replied Ukiyo with a smile.

Saiya smirked, "Seventy-five, and you can count on me to let you slip by and cover for you the next couple of times."

"Hehehe, Deal, now I'll see ya in class!" yelled Ukiyo as she hurried along with the cafeteria hands toward the Instructor's Dorm area.

"Wow, training starts early tomorrow. 6AM, that's might be a little bit to early. Oh well, whatever needs to be done." assured Zariu as he let out a huge sigh.

Rumble!!! Zariu grabbed his stomach.

"Wow!! I'm Starving!! What did they say was for breakfast again? I better hurry if I want anything to eat!!" he said as he rushed down the hall to the cafeteria. Along the way he stopped and saw two women and a group of men carring huge barrels of sake.

"Who are they?" he wondered as he slowly approached them.

Saiya watched as Instructor Rosuto left and decided to do the same and began to head for class when she noticed a boy cautiously approaching her. She cocked an eyebrow in annoyance, "Is there a problem?"

Zariu inspected the young woman. He figured he should try to remain on her good side seeing as how she completely embarassed the last boy she was mad at.

"Not really. I was just on my way to the cafeteria. I didn't mean to bother you."

Meer was sitting quietly in her office waiting for her students, there was only one more day until the field test and she knew that they would be in her face about everything today, best start early. It was too bad that it was at 6am, it would interupt her morning 2 mile run. I hope they dont ask about using guns...i hate using guns, she thought.

''hey meer, do you remember me ffrom last year?''

'' im the one invented the wrist-blades, ring a bell?''

"ya i remember you kalos, did you need help with something?" she asked as she flipped through her weapons magazine.

She sighed and turned to walk away when a thought crossed her mind.
"Hey, whatever your name is. Seeing that the SeeD Field Exam is tomorrow, you wouldn't be too busy for a one-on-one training seesion at around, lets say, 3pm in the Training Center? Strictly professional, it's not like I'm trying to get to know ya or anything, I'm just serious about the big day." She held out her hand for a shake, "So what do you say? The name's Saiya Coltheart by the way. You must be new here, I've been a student for four years but not once have I glimpsed your face before. Hmph, not like I try to anyway, I'm not what you call the 'friendly social type'."

Raemon kicked open his room door as he slid out striking a pose.
"Ooooooohhhhhh yeeeeaaaaahhhh!!! It's a new day! A new day of love!"

"Love?"

"Friendship!"

"There he goes again..."

"New beginnings!"

"Give me a break..."

"Affairs!"

"Eh?"

"Judgement!"

"I'm lost..."

"Betrayals!"

"He's going overboard again..."

"Plot Twists!"

"Seriously, give it a rest with the soap operas dude!"

"Sex!"

"Instructor Tryke!", yelled a group of girls. "Please, STOP!"

No matter how many times they witnessed it, Raemon Tryke's morning ritual always managed to catch people off guard. This was, after all, a trait of Instructor Tryke's usual goofy behavior.

(Publicly yelling possibilities for the new day, CHECK.)

Tryke came skidding in to the cafeteria, running at the first group of students his eyes laid on.

"How are you boys doing?!" Raemon asked as he smiled and squeezed their shoulders.

"[God, why did it have to be us today?...]Um, just fine, sir"

"Y-yeah, [Gulp], just swell, I can smell the new love blossoming already."

"That's the spirit!!!" yelled Raemon as he slapped their backs, or pounded in the students' view much to their dismay, and exited the cafeteria.

(Randomly ask a group of students how their day has been doing, CHECK)

"So, um, good morning Garden Master sir..." said Raemon as he awkwardly greeted one of the masters.

"............Good morning Instructor Tryke......" replied the Garden Master, with a slight bit of irritatedness.

"So......."

".........."

"Seriously, what the hell is your real name?"

"I told you time and time again, it doesn't matter. You will, and only will, refer to me as a Garden Master. That is a --"

"OH COME ON! All of you guys look the same. It'll be hard to develop a friendly relationship with one of you if we don't know anything to call you by to better make out who's who."

"We Garden Masters are not here to be friends with you SeeDs or students, we're simply here to make sure the Garden continues to run and be funded sufficiently..."

"Sigh, I guess you can't get as shallow or stuck up as that can ya..."

".........No comment...."

(TRY to conversate and better aquaint with Garden Master, CHECK)

"Sigh, and last but not least the best part of my morning ritual. Now if only I can find --"

He was cut off as he spotted Ukiyo and the five cafeteria hands going into the elevator.

"My lovely Ukiyo, how great of you to sweep me with your angelic presence!!" he yelled with passion as he dashed for the opened elevator door.

Ukiyo's eyes widened at the voice. "Crap!" She hurried the rest of cafeteria hands inside and mashed the "close" button.

To his bad fortune, Raemon found his self only half a second away before the door closed shut in his face. He looked up puppy eyed-like as he watched Ukiyo through the glass sticking her tongue out at him. "What cruel fate..."

(Win Ukiyo Rosuto's heart, FAIL)

He walked into his class with a glum look and sat behind his desk. The rest of the class watched wearily, remembering that this usually signalled large sums of work or an exxagerated outdoor training session. They held their breath as he looked up at them.

"Today class..."

[Here it goes], thought most.

"You are to do..."

[Anything but a twenty mile run, anything but that!]

"A scrutinating..."

[Oh no...]

"Heart burning..."

[I won't be able to sit again after this one!]

"Two thousand word poem on heartbreak!!!"

The class literally fell out of their seats from shock.
