"Yes kolos you may come if u want, I can't garuntee it will be any more exciteing than last year was though."

She glanced around wondering where the hell all her students were, she had told them that if they were late one more time they would be doing drills still midnight. She wasnt strict she just expected her trainees to be on time.

"When did you graduate from the academy anyways?" she asked

Zariu walked down the seemingly empty halls to his classroom. Out of curosity, Zariu looked down at his watch,

"6:05!!!! I'm late!! I cant believe i'm late to my first class on my first day!"

he rushed down the hall cutting corners and sliding around the sharp turns. He finally arraived at Mrs. Meers classroom where he stood in the doorway trying to catch his breath.

''ummmm, why are you asking that meer? are you suspicious of somthing? I graduated last year, simple enough, but i lost some of my memories, strangly i dont remember doing the field test, but my papers say i did, and for the dought of it im doing it agian''

"Well i see someone finally decided to show up, and where have you been trainee?" meer said to the new arrival. "I dont appreciate lateness to my lessons, so if you dont have a good excuse you had better think one up rather quickly."

"Alright!" boomed Tryke suddenly, startling afew students. He pointed to a random student. "You!"

"M-Me?" said the shaky student as he pointed to himself in a questioning manner.

"Yah! Get up and share with the class your piece of heartbreak!"

The boy reddened as he stood up and walked to the front of the class. "U-um, ahem. T-this is my p-poem of heartb-break-k."

"C'mon boy, straightened up! And speak loud enough for the rest of the class!"

"O-ok sir! Ahem!":

The boy looked up wearily and to his surprise saw most of the boys speechless and girls' eyes sparkling with tears. Suddenly, to the boy's shock and dismay, two manly arms wrapped around him and the pathetic sobs of Instructor Tryke filled the room, some escaping into the halls.

"Son................Sniff, sniff, that was the most heart moving and pure piece of heartbreak I have ever heard!" He squeezed the boy and as the student was struggling for freedom and oxygen, Raemon announced to the entire class, "Thanks to this boy's moving masterpiece, everybody recieves a full mark on their paper and are now hereby released early!"

The class cheered as students began to file out, talking about their planned activities and the important exam tomorrow. Raemon did the same but not without stopping to think. 'The SeeD Exam.....it usually proves itself to be the symbol of new beginnings.....I'm positive this year it won't be any different.'

Ukiyo arrived in the open grassy area of the Training Center where her class were impatiently waiting.

"Come on Instructor!" yelled one of the more impatient ones. "This is really getting annoying, this habit of yours. The SeeD Field Exam is tomorrow!"

"Oh don't get so hot about it!" playfully replied Ukiyo as she pulled what seemed to be a bottle of sake from her handbag.

"Hey!" yelled the same student as he pointed at the bottle. "Is that wh --"

"Ok students!" interrupted Ukiyo as she was opening the bottle. "Seeing that the BIG ONE is tomorrow, how about we go about it with a one-on-one sparring session? Everybody group"

A mixed reaction was sent back and the students began equipping their weapons.

Saiya lazily leaned against the tree 'til hearing Instructor Rosuto's instructions. She was already planning on heading to a far off corner where she could train by herself peacefully when Ukiyo's voice tore through her ears.

"Saiya! There's someone I want you to meet!"

"Forget it, I always go solo, training with another person will only slow me --"

"Saiya! The kid's a new student, atleast just this once!

Saiya sighed as she reluctantly gave in and turned back towards Ukiyo and the new SeeD Candidate. At first glance the first word to pop into Saiya's head was "goth". She surveyed his black baggy handcuff-decorated cargo jeans and black skin deep sweater. She eyed his black with white highlights unkempt hair with slight curiosity. All in all however, she showed neither an emotion of acceptance or shun as she simply nodded to him, not caring as usual.

"Don't mind her attitude, she's always like that. I'm sure she'll open up more with a boy's touch --"

"Can we PLEASE get on with it?" Saiya asked, patience wearing thin.

"Yah, yah, sure! Like I said he's new here," 'Your age!' whispered Ukiyo to Saiya's annoyance. "His name is --"

"Shado..." spoke the boy suddenly, making Instructor Rosuto jump slightly. "....Shado Kokoro....."

".....Whatever," said Saiya with noticeable annoyance. "You already heard mine. Right about now is the part where I say 'Nice to meet you', but unfortunately my morals won't allow me to..."

"Ugh, Saiya...." groaned Ukiyo. "And what might those morals be?"

"It's simple actually," replied Saiya as she flashed a quick glare. "'Never show respect to anyone who forces dead weight onto ye against thy will.'"

"Instructor Rosuto..........I would very much also like to train alone...." spoke the new student, Shado.

"Saiya!" shouted Ukiyo as she glared deep into Saiya. She turned back towards Shado and hastily added, "Don't be put off by her attitude. Like I said she's always like unfortunately --"

"Her ranting didn't affect me one bit, I ASSURE YOU," replied Shado with an added emphasis on the end, making Saiya cock an eyebrow. He began to head to a small secluded area by a tree and once there plopped down, crossed his legs, and did what appeared to be meditating.

Saiya watched and shook her head as she headed off on to her own secluded area, pulling on her gloves as she made her way.

"W-wait a minute! Saiya come back this -- Oh forget it, it's hopeless..." Ukiyo walked and sat under a tree as she took a swig of her sake. ".......That Saiya......why does she insist so much on cutting herself off from everyone.....I should tell her that she'll never pass the exam tomorrow because of it but she won't learn anything from it if I do. This is for her to overcome on her own..."

Struck by embarrasment, Zariu was racing his mind to find a good answer to the teachers question.

"I uhh... I got lost and stopped to ask some people for help. Yeah that's it! I got lost and had to ask for help!!" quickly answered the boy.

"If you are going to tell a lie atleast make it a believeable one, Kalos was here 10 minutes before you showed up. But apparently he was also outside giving you directions to the very classroom at which he was already present at the time of the asking."
