like if someone uses Chidori and just gets punked by a Replacement jutsu...

So...

If a player is using a higher rank jutsu and the opponent responds with a lower rank jutsu, that player will have to use the same amount of chakra as the jutsu that player is answering.

So if the player is responding with Replacement jutsu against Chidori, Replacement jutsu will need to pay 40 chakra to use Replacement jutsu even if its a D-Rank.

Chakra Penalty.

I think that the Chidori should be able to continue going for 2 turns if it stopped by weaker level defenses.

Person would have to use clones three times to avoid the Chidori.

It should depend on the distance of the jutsus used.

Then... using Replacement Jutsu against Chidori, it would look like the user actually did RJ 8 times, equivalent of 40 chakra used.

Can you clarify Aigoro? Im confused why you use 40 chakra to block a 30 chakra attack.

I would like to re examine this idea because i dont think its right. Just because someones using so much chakra to use a powerful attack doesn't mean it should make the defender against it have to waste so much chakra. Think about it if a shinobi is smart enough use a low ranking jutsu that only requires minimal chakra consumption while his opponent uses something like Chidori wastes all that chakra and misses, its not the defenders fault for dodging. It's the users fault for not using it at an oppurtune time like when the defender is immobilized that would be a good time to attack. If this happens then if a high ranking shinobi uses a jutsu that costs 30 chakra a lower ranking genin or any other ninja would lose most of their chakra by just dodging and thats not fair because they shouldn't be forced to use the same amount of chakra. The attack should think about his attacks.

My opinion may not be of consequence, but I think that the difficulty of the roll should be determined by speed needed to succeed, because it's logical that a jutsu will always use the same amount of chakra, although the success rate should change.

do you meen like, to dodge a jutsu that would use 30 chakra to activate you would need to roll higher than if you were to dodge a jutsu that takes 5 chakra?
if so i kind of like that idea
